Description
The communities along the McKenzie River, just east of Eugene and University of Oregon is one of the most prized host locations due to its beauty, proximity to the venue at UO and its formidable track facilities.
The McKenzie River Track offers a top tier facility for pre event training and is itself surrounded by lodging.
The area can host teams of up to 100 in a single lodging venue, or multiple teams in many different area lodges.
See the lodging link here for more details on lodging options.
The area offers some breathtaking cross country running trails and quiet backroads for training.
As an added benefit, there are numerous natural wonders to explore during your downtime – including many stately waterfalls, lots of pristine lakes, rivers and streams for rafting, kayaking and tubing. You’ll want to see the grand vista views at the Dee Write Observatory on the McKenzie Pass which features a dramatic lava flow that stretches as far as the eye can see.
Of course, you’ll also want to make time to relax in one of the area’s prized Hot Springs. Terwilliger and Belknap are great places to de-stress from rigorous workouts.
