We get the Blue Pool via Mckinzie River Trail, which is a moderate trail, around 4 miles long. We attempted to make this a day long event; therefore, we decided to drive through the night from Seattle. We were hoping to arrive at the trailhead by early morning; unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. We were running low on gas around 4 AM but gas station in the area were closed. So, we had to wait until they open in the morning to pump more gas in order continue.
