Come Relax with McKenzie River Lavender!
Join us for the next Oregon Lavender Farm Tour this July 10th-12th., from 10am to 5pm.
Oregon has long been a Lavender pioneer, and the variety and breadth of the lavender-based industries – from nurseries to farms to craftsmen – located here reflects that long tradition.
The Oregon Lavender Association sponsors the state-wide Lavender Farm Tour the second weekend in July with over twenty farms hosting visitors to their farms to celebrate the lavender bloom. McKenzie River Lavender is pleased to again participate in this free farm tour for the sixth year. We invite you to visit our farm and enjoy the field in full bloom while viewing the creations of local artisans as well as our many specialty lavender products, including small plants of each of the lavender varieties that we grow. We have added several new lavender products this year: Dark chocolate sauce flavored with lavender and orange plus three new skin care products: a lavender lotion bar, lavender butter and lavender bath tea.
The McKenzie River Lavender Festival is a great time to enjoy a meditative walk through the labyrinth in our field. You’ll become one with lavender’s fresh aroma and humming bees at work in the field. Take the opportunity to pick a fresh lavender bouquet at peak bloom and shop our farm store for your favorite lavender products.
Experience our country bazaar atmosphere including local artisans, food, relaxing music, and much more. Choose from handcrafted garden art, jewelry, basketry, wooden bowls to name a few. Music each day is between 11 a,m. and 3 p.m. with different musicians each day.
Taste lavender lemonade and lavender soda. Yes, lavender not only smells wonderful, it also adds a punch of flavor to many sweet and savory foods. Lavender infused honey, Marion-berry preserves and lavender shortbread cookies will be available for purchase.
Learn about lavender’s many uses in the home, it’s cultivation and care in the home garden and get answers to your lavender growing questions. Or just relax with us beside our beautiful McKenzie River. More About Lavender
